« NYCLU Says It Will Sue City Over Bag Searches


Two weeks after the NYPD began random bag searches on the city's subways, the New York Civil Liberties Union says it will sue the city over the procedure.


The random bag searches were instituted in the wake of the July 7th terror bombings in London.

NYCLU officials say the city's policy violates constitutional rights against unlawful searches, and does nothing to prevent terrorism.
